Conceived by the Swedish Society of Medicine’s Committee for Global Health, the conference is organized by representatives from all seven medical faculties in Sweden, and will be hosted by the Department of Public Health Sciences at Karolinska Institutet at Aula Medica, Karolinska Institutet on 18 to 19 April 2018.Through short panels with experts and decision makers from Sweden and abroad, and interactive, expert-led workshops, we will explore how we through interdisciplinary research in global health can contribute to the fulfilment of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and invites everyone to a two days dialogue on how we through studies, research and work can contribute. Further knowledge exchange will be feasible through our poster fair and the social program. To fulfil the Sustainable Development Goals, we must intensify our efforts to improve the health of everyone, especially in regions of the world with the highest burden of disease. At the same time, we must fight challenges, such as climate change, air pollution, communicable diseases, and chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, and mental illness.
