Vice Chancellor has decided to continue project development of Medicinareberget. Project Vision 2020 – Medicinareberget has thus entered its second phase, which runs from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2017.
Work on Phase 1, which began in August 2013 has shown a need to deepen developed business ideas and strategies and develop action plans for the development. It is also important to the university’s future on and around the mountain is assured, and that the collaboration between the university, city, region, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Chalmers and the business continues to develop. Deputy Vice-Chancellor Margareta Wallin Peterson continues as a project manager and Christina Nordberg as project coordinator.
Medicinareberget as a whole is subject to a larger, planned urban development. During the fall, the City of Gothenburg is to take zoning decisions regarding the whole area, and the cooperation between the city and university will deepen.
