Science slam in English has become something of a tradition during Global Week. It is a competition about giving a comprehensible and engaging presentation of research projects in just three minutes. And the judges? It is the audience.
Science slam will be held on Wednesday, November 19, at 12: 00-13: 00, in the lobby of Sprängkullsgatan 19.
The Sahlgrenska Academy is represented by Ajibola Omokanye, who is a PhD student at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. The title of the short presentation is “Developing a pandemic influenza vaccine.”
Other participants:
“When might election violence signify progress toward democracy?” Megan E. Reif, V-Dem Institute Research Fellow
“What’s so secret about secret societies? Conspiracy myths dispelled” Andreas Önnerfors, Associate Professor/Reader in Intellectual History
“To read or not to read” Angela Kölling, postdoctoral researcher in Comparative Literature & Translation
“Geometry and Harmonic Analysis” Lashi Bandara, Postdoctoral Researcher, Mathematical Sciences
“Excellence initiatives and the knowledge society” Susanne Dodillet, PhD, Department of Education and Special Education
