This certificate gives students the opportunity to visualize their international commitment and at the same time strengthen their personal and professional development. CIM is based onstudents reporting completed international activities, both at home and abroad, in a digital merit portfolio in the GUL platform. In 2014, CIM was initiated by the Faculty of Medicine at Lund University and was introduced after a decision by the dean at Sahlgrenska Academy in the autumn of 2016, when a pilot was started with three programs – the pharmacy program, the biomedical analyst program and the speech therapy program.
On May 31, 2017, the first ceremony and certificate will be awarded to students who have successfully participated in CIM to be awarded. During the ceremony, four students from the pharmacy program and two students from the biomedical analyst program will reflect on their experiences, how CIM has given them an increased global understanding in relation to their education and how the experiences can be linked to their future occupation and various intercultural situations. Procedean Eric Hanse will hand out the certificates.
During the spring, SAIO (Sahlgrenska Academy International Office) has asked all programs if they want to participate in CIM from autumn 2017.
