380 applications had been received by the time that this year’s primary call for ALF grant applications closed on June 1st. In total, the applicants applied for over SEK 800 million in funding. 43 percent of the applicants are women. 41 percent of the applicants stated that they did not receive ALF funding during the most recent three-year funding period.
The assessment process will now commence, with verification that the applications fulfill all the requirements, and the preliminary distribution of grant applications to the assessment groups. The final distribution of applications to the assessment groups will conclude the week before Midsummer. The work of assessing the applications will continue until the beginning of October, at which time all the assessment meetings will have been completed. After having been processed by Medi-SAM, the final decisions regarding the distribution of ALF grant funds for the 2018-2020 period will be made by Hälso-SAM on November 9th.
