The L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Sweden Prize aims to promote, enhance and encourage the participation of women in science and sustainable development by awarding emerging female scientists in the fields of Life Sciences (including Medicine), Physical Sciences, Engineering or Mathematics. The prize honors two talented women researchers for the quality of their research and development towards independence, and encourages them to pursue a career in science. A total of SEK 300,000 is available for two prizes, and will be granted to researchers up to four years after their PhD defense, who are appointed or currently working at a research institution in Sweden. The recipients will also be invited to a one-year-mentoring program organized by the Young Academy of Sweden.
