The Swedish Research Council has decided to support Swedish research infrastructures by approximately SEK 4 billion. It is about funding that spans up to eight years to come. Max IV, the computer infrastructure SNIC and databases in social science and health are some of the infrastructures that are funded. At the University of Gothenburg, Swedish National Data Service, SND, receives funding (Max Petzold is the applicant). Jan-Eric Gustfsson, Senior Professor at the Department of Education and Special Education, is applying for funds for Evaluation Through Follow-up (ETF), an infrastructure for research using individual databases in medicine and social sciences.
