On Monday, October 2, the Center for Research on Work and Employment (WE) and the New Ways research program held a seminar with about 70 participants from both municipalities, county councils, business and universities, moderated by Kristina Holmgren and Gunnel Hensing. Legal assessments in health insurance cases create legitimacy for the social security system, according to one of the invited lecturers, Ben Baumberg Geiger. That the judgments are just is not only of moral and ethical significance – it is also important for the individual to regain health, work ability and to return to work. Professor Sara Stendahl raised litigation that affected the debate on fair assessments.
