Agnes Wold, Professor of Clinical Bacteriology, is one of five researchers asked about their wish list for christ,as by Curie, the Swedish Research Council’s newspaper. Agnes takes the opportunity to wish for two things: first, that the Macchiarini case is prosecuted and that he is convicted for manslaughter, secondly, an end to the politic initative to give enormous strategic funding to individual researchers who are considered to be excellent – a research policy that Agnes believes is sick. The other four researchers interviewed are Per Kristensson (Karlstad University), Pernilla Wittung-Stafshede (Chalmers,) Jonas Ludvigsson (KI), and Virginia Langum (Umeå University).
