Marie Staberg, who defended her dissertation Children and adolescents with externalizing behavior in dental care last year at the Institute of Odontology, recently won second prize for her poster at The 20th World Congress on Dental Traumatology (WCDT) in San Diego. Marie Staberg’s rewarded poster presentation was based on her research on children with out-acting behavioral problems and children with ADHD in dental care. The study showed that children with out-acting behaviors and/or ADHD had more dental injuries compared to control children. Marie Staberg is a dentist at the Specialist Clinic for Pedodontics and is particularly interested in children with neuropsychiatric diagnoses.
