In November, Ann Wennerberg, professor of oral prosthetics at the Institute of Odontology, received the Swedish Dental Association’s Miller Award 2018. According to the justification, Ann Wennerberg’s research on implants is world-leading. In a collaboration with research colleagues both at Chalmers and in Germany she is part of a large project on resorbable materials, where the goal is to develop biomaterials that the body itself gets rid of when the implant is no longer needed. The Miller Award is awarded every three years by the Swedish Dentist Society, and highlights researchers behind the best scientific papers in the last six years. Among the former recipients are among others the Sahlgrenska Academy’s Anders Linde and Tord Berglundh
