During the dean’s meeting in Örebro this week, the winners of the Swedish Medical Faculties’ Internationalization Prize for 2024 (Prize for Internationalization of teaching and learning at the Swedish Medical Faculties) were announced. The government appoints an investigation into safer assessments of residence permits for foreign doctoral students and researchers

The government is currently examining ways to enhance the appeal for foreign doctoral students and researchers in Sweden. The focus includes reassessing residence permit regulations to prevent misuse of student permits. Migration Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard emphasizes the significance of this task in advancing support for foreign academics while ensuring permits are issued solely for educational purposes.
