{"id":81407,"date":"2022-03-22T16:54:43","date_gmt":"2022-03-22T15:54:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/akademiliv.se\/?p=81407"},"modified":"2022-03-22T16:54:43","modified_gmt":"2022-03-22T15:54:43","slug":"grants-for-scientific-research-field-alzheimers-disease-and-other-dementia-diseases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/akademiliv.se\/en\/2022\/03\/81407\/","title":{"rendered":"Grants for scientific research in the field of Alzheimer&#8217;s disease and other dementia diseases"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Alzheimer&#8217;s Foundation prioritises projects<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>with the potential to be able to stop the development of disease in AD in the short or long term<\/li>\n<li>with a focus on diagnosing the disease at an early stage<\/li>\n<li>which enables the treatment and rehabilitation of AD patients<\/li>\n<li>projects where clinical benefit can be clearly described<\/li>\n<li>projects where collaboration between research groups strengthens the project&#8217;s quality and feasibility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Alzheimer&#8217;s Foundation does not prioritize projects<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>which is essentially repetition of previously known data<\/li>\n<li>which are purely descriptive, far from potential clinical benefit, or have low news value.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This year, we especially encourage younger researchers who are in the process of qualifying for an associate professorship to apply.
